Especially on the fore stock where there is a slight crack on the Left side and oil from their hands when they held the rifle. Also please note that this rifle was used by my grandfather and father, so it does show wear and tear. I know there may be a lot of photos but I wanted to show as much detail as possible. I am not sure when it was fired last but apparently it has not been fired in a very long time and taken very good care of. It is shiny and clean when I ran a swab down the barrel tonight. The barrel is rust free and the rifleing (sp?) is in great shape. I took several pictures of the rifle and they are below. It falls within the only dates and s/n's listed. According to the 2007 Standard Catalog of Firearms (page 1001) it is an 1899. I went to the Savage 1895/1899/99 DOM page and it was manufactured in 1915. I did my research and found out it is actually a Model 1899. Ok, here we go with one of many more to come.
